Week 13
Hi Everyone, This week started with driving from Port Hedland towards, Broome. We split the 650 plus kilometers into two days. We stayed on the side of the road that evening, enjoyed a fire and when dark took videos of trucks that roared by. The next day, we drove from our spot and onto Broome where we stayed at the Tarangau Caravan Park. The sign for the park had ‘The Quiet Alternative’ written down the bottom. While I was recording the sign for Ali, there was a man across the street with a whipper snipper. For the rest of the week, Ali and I were either doing schoolwork or we swam at Cable Beach. At Cable Beach I saw my first 'wild' jellyfish. It wasn't that big, but had blue circles in it's clear body. As Broome was the last major city prior to Darwin, Dad had to fix the new list of car items. This included renewing the drawbar, poly air bag suspension on the back, the front seal on the motor, engine mounts, etc. Once again RACV provided for the accomodation and a car for the week. And that was our short week 13 on our Journey Around Australia. Cameron |
